Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Services, a medical staffing agency, is recruiting for a temporary Occupational Health Registered Nurse to work at a clinic in Denver, CO.
Essential Duties
- Performs Occupational Health services to employees of a business. All adult patients.
- Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
- Conducts a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests.
- Collaborates with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.
- Performs occupational and health screening tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
- Conducts appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
- Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow up care arranged.
- Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice.
- Administers medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
- Maintains medical records using EMR.
- Participates in follow up phone calls and follow up patient visits.

Work Setting: Employer-based occupational health clinic
Job Type: Temporary
Length: approx 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Mon-Fri, either 6:00a-2:30p or 11:30a-8:00p/rotating weekends
Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Rate: $46.00-$50.00 hr.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in occupational health, primary care or other ambulatory care setting
- Certified Occupational Health nurse a plus!
- Current BLS thru the AHA
