Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Services, a healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a temporary Pharmacist to work in a Pharmacy in Columbus, OH.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medication and ensure patients receive the correct medication and dosage.
- Advise patients on how to use their medications safely and effectively and answer questions about medications and their side effects.
- Advise physicians and other healthcare workers on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
- Monitor the condition of medications to prevent them from expiring or deteriorating.
- Verify new medication against existing medication and patient profile to ensure that there are no-drug or drug disease interactions prior to filling prescription.
- Verify the work of the Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, including accuracy of all prescriptions assembled.

Work Setting: Specialty Pharmacy
Job Type: Temporary
Length: approx 6 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 10:00a-6:30p or 10:30a-7:00p / days will vary
Pay Rate: $55.00 hr.
Job Requirements
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a Pharmacist
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Experience using computer applications
- Excellent communication skills, with customer-oriented approach
