Spectrum Healthcare Services, a healthcare recruiting agency, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Hartford, CT.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and self-motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Adult Medicine clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including health promotion and disease prevention, to our diverse patient population. Collaborating closely with our team of physicians, you will deliver high-quality care and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications and treatments as appropriate.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to inform patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Salary: $100K-$161K
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of [Insert State].
- Ability to obtain and maintain DEA and state narcotic registration.
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice, with a proven track record of providing high-quality, comprehensive clinical care.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
- Proficiency in taking medical histories, assessing medical conditions, and interpreting findings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, peers, and other stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining timely, thorough, and accurate clinical documentation.
- Ability to make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with quality measures.
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems and other computer applications.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Preferred Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in an ambulatory or urgent care setting.
- Experience in adult medicine or primary care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation standards.
Additional Requirements:
- All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
