Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Services, a medical staffing agency, is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to work at a occupational health clinic in Gainesville, GA on a temporary basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care injuries and RTW eams.  
  • Conducts a nursing assessment by taking patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests.
  • Collaborates with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.  
  • Performs occupational and health screening tests, such as EKGs, audiometry, spirometry, vision.  
  • Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, and follow-care arranged. 
  • Evaluates health education/promotion needs of patients and provides necessary training and instruction.  
  • Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice.  
  • Administers medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.  
  • Maintains medical records.  
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information.  
  • Participates in follow-up phone calls and follow-up patient visits.

Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00a-4:00p
Pay Rate: $45.00-$47.00 hr.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in occupational health, ER or ambulatory care required
  • COHN a plus!
  • Current BLS required 
  • Epic experience required
  • Current TB test
