Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Services, a medical staffing agency, is recruiting for a Family Nurse Practitioner for a clinic in Winchester, VA.
Essential Duties
- Provides primary care and urgent care services to employees of a business, all adults over 18 yrs old.
- Approximately 2-3 physicals per day and the rest are sick or follow-up visits.
- Primary care patients are seen for diabetes, hypertension, anxiety/depression, weight management and smoking cessation.
- Urgent care needs include sore throat, sinus infection, coughs and colds, minor injuries, sprains strains, etc.
- Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment.
- Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment, if necessary.
- Approx 12-15 patients per day, with about 20% video/telephone visits.

- Work Setting: Employer-based primary care clinic
- Job Type: Temporary
- Length: 11 weeks
- Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:30a-5:00p
- Pay Rate: $65.00-$70.00 hr.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed in VA
- Must have experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
- BLS required
