Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Services, a healthcare staffing agency is seeking a temporary Direct Support Professional for a social services organization in Philadelphia, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with daily living activities, personal care, housekeeping, and laundry, fostering independence and enhancing individuals' lives who are intellectually disabled.
- Work involves providing individualized care under professional direction, activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living units, and guiding individuals in individualized program plans and leisure activities.
- Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the close supervision of a higher-level supervisor, who reviews results through daily observation of activities in progress, individuals’ responsiveness, inspection of quarters, reports, and periodic conferences.
- Staff will be required to follow a designated shift routine as outlined by the supervisor.
Position Details
Work Setting: Residential Group Home
Job Type: Contract
Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: 7:00a-3:30p, 11:00a-7:30p, 2:30p-11:00p, 11:00p-7:30a / every other weekend required
Weekly Hours: 40
Hourly Rate: $18.00 hr.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Driver's license is required
- A verifiable high school diploma or GED is required
- At least 1 year of experience in a group home or residential setting preferred
