Spectrum Healthcare Services, a healthcare staffing agency is recruiting for Surgical Techs for a facility in Columbus, IN.

Job Summary

Serves as a member of the Surgical Services team, working under the direction of the registered nurse and in cooperation with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other ancillary personnel in delivering patient care assuming appropriate responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively.

The facility does all cases, minus Neuro. The tech would be expected to operate independently on all procedures except Open Heart. In saying this, the majority of the cases are going to be general (mainly laparoscopic), some bariatric, ortho spine (relief in the evening and possibly to do a full case that is standard as in a laminectomy), vascular both open and endovascular, gynecology (we also do have a Davinci Robot), cesarean sections, local/iv sed procedures, urology (we do use the robot for urology prostatectomies, pyeloplasty, nephrectomies.), ENT (we have the Medtronic Navigation system), and orthopedics(total joints, sports med, and fractures).

• Completion of an accredited OR Technologist program
• A minimum of two years CST experience
• Tech must be experienced and able to operate independently on all procedures minus open heart
• Active CST held by the Association of Surgical Technologists
• BLS thru the AHA
