Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Services, a healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a clinic in Merrillville, IN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Back office duties; rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
- POCT, strep, flu rapid COVID, UA and EKGs.
- Immunizations, allergy shots, and blood draws.
- Giving medications and patient follow-up.
- Age range, 2+ yrs and up.
Position Details
Setting: Employer-based primary care clinic
Employment Type: Temporary
Length: approx 14 weeks but possibly longer
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Mon, 10:00a-7:00p, Tue-Fri, 8:30a-5:00p
Weekly Hours: 40
Hourly Rate: $20.00-$22.00 hr.
Job Requirements
- Must have excellent blood draw skills
- BLS certification through AHA required
- At least 2 yrs of of medical assisting experience
- Must be Certified or Registered
