Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Services, a medical staffing agency, is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner for a clinic in Merrillville, IN.
Essential Duties
- Provides primary care services to employees of a business and their dependents.
- Performs physical examinations, including well woman exams, minor procedures, and preventive health measures, within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
- Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patients' condition.
- Provides written home-going instructions.
- Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
- Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
- Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
- Patient age range: 2 yrs and up.

Position Details

- Shift: Mon-Fri, 9:00a-4:30p
- Weekly Hours: 35-40
- Pay Rate: $60.00-$65.00 hr.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree (MSN) required
- ANCC or AANP certification
- At least 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in family practice or primary care
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Indiana
- Nationally Certified as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner
- BLS required
- Strong computer skills and electronic medical records experience
